        College Life 101 for Parents

        Parental involvement:

        a key tool in helping

        kids  own their faith.

        You Still Have Influence

Researchers report that it is not peers or pastors that have the strongest influence on students' values. It's their parents. It's you.

Talking with your teenager about matters of faith and morality can be hard, especially if the conversation gets heated.  Sometimes it's hard for the opposite reason: they don't even respond. There's another tactic that will work better: listening.

Adolescents need a "sounding board" as they try to figure out what they believe. As parents, we are poised to be the best environment for them to work out their faith. In order for that to happen we need to give our kids the space and opportunity to "think out loud." Our kids benefit from conversations where they can share their thoughts, questions and doubts without fear of instant correction.

Our curriculum will provide many opportunities for faith-shaping conversations with your son or daughter.  Let our College Life 101 - Student Edition help you prepare your college-bound child for life after high school.

"There is nothing more important to us as parents than for our children to remain in their Christian faith as they leave our home and head for college.

I would, therefore, highly recommend College Life 101 for all graduating seniors.  After watching College Life 101, our daughter had a realistic picture of college.  Ben's humor and real life drama presentations helped prepare our daughter for situations where she would be challenged.  College Life 101 is the complete list of 'school supplies' that every college parent must give to their child before entering college."
